In the 2017 Master Plan, the Township has identified three areas as Potential Intensity Change Areas, or PICA's. They are Downtown Okemos, the Four Corners of Haslett and the Carriage Hills Shopping Center. Each space has its own unique story and vision for future development. For your consideration we have compiled a comprehensive packet of information outlining the opportunities for each. In the packet you will find and aerial view of the area, the property listing(s), a staff report, the PICA excerpt from the Master Plan and comprehensive demographic studies. In Okemos and Haslett you will also find the mixed-use planned unit development (MUPUD) zoning amendment recently passed allowing for taller buildings and more dense development, as well as a guide for the Meridian Redevelopment Fund designed specifically to financially assist development in these two key areas.
