6/14/24 - Randall Street, West Reynolds Road, Perry Road, East Reynolds Road, Milenz Street, and Quail Street
The Township's contractor will not be able to complete all of the paving of the second and final layer of asphalt on 6/14.
Weather dependent, the contractor will return on 6/17 to finish the paving work.
Once all paving has been completed, grass restoration will be performed and manholes will be raised within 2 weeks. Concrete collars will be poured around all of the manholes and cones will be left around the concrete collars while they cure. The cones will be collected once the concrete has cured.
6/14/24 - Randall Street, West Reynolds Road, Perry Road, East Reynolds Road, Milenz Street, and Quail Street
Weather dependent, the Township's contractor will be attempting to complete paving the second and final layer of asphalt on 6/14. The Township has authorized our paving contractor to work from 7:00 am to 9:30 pm on 6/14.
If the contractor is not able to finish the paving on 6/14, they will return on 6/15 to finish paving.

Weather dependent, the Township's contractor will be adjusting the soil elevation along the edge of the roads and on the sides of the driveway approaches to ensure the roadway and driveway approaches can drain properly.
Weather dependent, the Township's contractor will be paving the second and final layer of asphalt on 6/14 and 6/15.
Once all paving has been completed, manholes will be raised within 2 weeks. Concrete collars will be poured around all of the manholes and cones will be left around the concrete collars while they cure. The cones will be collected once the concrete has cured.

Weather dependent, the Township's contractor will begin work on Randall Street, West Reynolds Road (from Randall Street to Perry Road), Perry Road (south of Lake Drive), East Reynolds Road, Milenz Street, and Quail Street on Monday, June 3.
Weather dependent, the construction schedule for these roads is as follows:
- 6/3: Lower manhole structures and begin pulverizing the existing asphalt.
- 6/4-6/7: Finish pulverizing existing asphalt and complete grading.
- 6/10: Pave the first of two layers of asphalt.
- 6/11: Pave the second and final layer of asphalt.

Due to a change in the contractor’s schedule, the milling and paving of Linden Street (from Timberlane Street to the cul-de-sac) and Timberlane Street (from Linden Street to Melrose Avenue) has been rescheduled as follows:
5/10: Milling (i.e. removal of existing asphalt) and grading
5/13: Begin paving of the first of two layers of asphalt
5/14: Finish paving the first of two layers of asphalt
5/17: Paving of the second (and final) layer of asphalt
5/20: Contingency paving date if weather delays are experienced
5/24: Contingency paving date if weather delays are experienced
Please do NOT park vehicles on Linden Street (from Timberlane Street to the cul-de-sac) and Timberlane Street (from Linden Street to Melrose Avenue) from 5/8 to 5/20. Any vehicles left on the roadway that are in the construction limits will be safely towed just outside of the construction limits.

The Township only anticipates the need for two paving dates. One for base course paving (i.e. the first layer of asphalt), and one for the top course paving (i.e. the second and final layer of asphalt).

- 5/7: Milling (i.e. removal of existing asphalt) and grading
- 5/8: Finish grading and start paving
- 5/9: Paving
- 5/10: Paving
- 5/14: Contingency day if we experience weather delays

Resident Notice - Timberlane Street and Linden Street
4/9/2024
The following roads were delayed until the spring or summer of 2024 due to bad weather near the end of the 2023 construction season:
- Timberlane Street (from Linden St. to Melrose Ave.)
- Linden Street (from Timberlane St. to the cul-de-sac)
The Township is currently working with the road contractor to determine when Timberlane St. and Linden St. will be reconstructed in 2024.
Updated notices/letters will go out to all property owners via mail, or taped on mailboxes, prior to road construction beginning.
Reconstruction of the roads on the north side of Lake Lansing was delayed until the spring or summer of 2024 due to the need to complete the 2024 Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project (currently in progress) prior to the roads being reconstructed:
- Randall Street (from W. Lake Dr. to W. Reynolds Rd.)
- Perry Road (from E/W Lake Dr. to E/W. Reynolds Rd.)
- West Reynolds Road (from Randall St. to Perry Rd.)
- East Reynolds Road (from Perry Rd. to Milenz St.)
- Quail Street (from Milenz St. to the cul-de-sac)
- Milenz Street (from E. Lake Dr. to E Reynolds Rd.)
The Township currently anticipates that the 2024 Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project will be completed between late-May and mid-June. The project will be far enough along to allow Ingham County to open the Lake Lansing Park North boat launch by May 1, but the project will not be fully completed until late-May to mid-June. The Township will work to confirm the start date for the paving contractor in mid-May when the 2024 Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project is nearing completion.
