In November 2022, a solar system was installed on the Public Safety Building.

The solar system consists of 101 solar panels. This is a 41 kilowatt (kW) system that will produce about 47,000 kilowatts per hours (kWh) of electricity.

This system is approximately twice the size of the existing ground mounted system also at the Municipal Building and is slightly larger than the system on the South Fire Station. The Public Safety Building system will offset about 17% of electric use and is estimated to pay for itself in 11 years. 

In October 2018, a new Township solar panel array was constructed at the Municipal Building. This is the solar array that faces the intersection of Marsh Road and Central Park Drive. 

The system consists of 56 photovaltaic panels and produces approximately 20 kilowatts per hour (kWh) in an hour of full sun.
