American Legion Post 269 Poppy Days

The American Legion Post 269 in Haslett is hosting their annual Poppy Days to honor and celebrate all veterans. 

Volunteers will be passing out free poppy's on May 19, May 20 and May 21 in front of the American Legion Post 269 (1485 Haslett Road), Monticello's Market (16912 Marsh Road), Haslett Tru Value Hardware (1581 Haslett Road) and Tom's Food Center (1619 W Grand River Avenue). 

On Saturday, May 21, the American Legion Post 269 will also be attendance at the Meridian Township Farmers' Market from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Marketplace on the Green (1995 Central Park Drive). 

According to the American Legion, the red poppy is a nationally recognized symbol of sacrifice worn by Americans since World War I to honor those who served and died for our country in all wars. National Poppy Day is on May 27, 2022.
