Meridian Township is partnering with local business, House of Soles, for their local shoe drive. Community members can donate their like new and/or unused tennis shoes by dropping them off at to the House of Soles (1737 W. Grand River Avenue, Okemos) on Friday, August 6 and Saturday, August 7 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. 

The shoes will be cleaned and donated within Ingham County to residents in need through local charities including Footprints of Michigan, the Lansing Rescue Mission and more. 

The Meridian Township Police Department, Fire Department and Economic Development Department will be in attendance on Saturday, August 7 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm to engage with the community during the small vendor festival at the site.
