Election Day in Meridian Township for the May Special Election is Tuesday, May 4. Polls will be open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. Voters in the Okemos Public School District will be voting on the following millage proposals in this election: the Okemos Public Schools Operating Millage Renewal Proposal and the Okemos Public Schools Sinking Fund Proposal.
Voters at the polls must show a picture ID or sign an affidavit that they are “not in possession of a picture ID” before they are allowed to vote.
Absentee Voter Ballots need to be returned to the Meridian Township Clerk’s Office in the Municipal Building located at 5151 Marsh Rd., Okemos, 48864 by 8:00 pm on Election Day. Voters can drop them off anytime in the 24-hour secure white drop box located in front of the Municipal Building. Voters cannot bring their voted ballots to their polling locations on Election Day, unless they want to spoil them at the precinct and vote in person.
