Congratulations to "Plant It Pink Garden" project by Meridian Garden Inc. and "Haslett Beautification Association"! Those two projects win the 2018 Community Landscape Beautification Award. Award ceremonies and a joint presentation will take place in the Meridian Township Hall at 10:00 am on Monday, May 13th. 

The Haslett Beautification Association improves and maintains the aesthetic appearance of the Haslett streetscape. Annual bed themes have supported local charity events by planting purple plants for an American Cancer Society Relay for Life event and a Celebrate Meridian event with yellow and orange.

Meridian Garden Club, Inc.’s. Plant It Pink Garden promotes awareness of the fight against breast cancer and honors victims and survivors with a tranquil site offering a healing, meditative space overlooking a pond in the Meridian Historical Village. The garden’s hardscape features a semi-circular brick patio surrounded by trees, flowering shrubs and plants in shades of pink; selected for color, texture and scent through three seasons.
