Join us for our Weekday Warriors on Thursday, August 15 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Hillbrook Park (meet at the intersection of Montebello & Sherbrook Way).
We will be planting native winterberry in the wetland buffer at Hillbrook Park. Planting native species in these areas provides beneficial habitat and food for local insects and wildlife. No experience is necessary and all tools are provided. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear closed-toed shoes.
Weekday Warriors occur every other Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at a different location. Help the Meridian Conservation Corps restore habitat across our parks and preserves through activities like invasive plant removal and litter pick up in high quality areas. Warrior workdays are a great way to get outdoors and improve our community!
Participants are encouraged to pre-register but walk-ins are welcome. To register, or for more information, please contact Land Stewardship Coordinator Emma Campbell at ecampbell@meridian.mi.us or call at 517.853.4614. All workdays are outdoors and may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
