Fall is a great time to plant Native Plants! The Harris Nature Center (HNC – 3998 Van Atta Road, Okemos) will be hosting a Fall Native Plant Sale on Saturday, October 12th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The Native Plant Sale includes Michigan native sedges, grasses, wildflowers and ferns. All proceeds benefit HNC. The native plants are grown locally at Designs by Nature in Laingsburg and Michigan Woodland Wildflowers & Ferns in Haslett.

Residents are encouraged to plant native plants in their yards to help protect wetlands in Meridian Township.
