Solarize Meridian, sponsored by the Meridian Energy Team, is an educational program to help Meridian Township residents learn about solar electric systems, with the option of purchasing solar panels as a group to earn a discounted rate. This year, Solarize Meridian will be held in the Meridian Township Municipal Building (5151 Marsh Road, Okemos) on April 1 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
Meridian homeowners who have purchased a solar system will share their experiences with community members, family, and friends, during Solarize Meridian meetings. The host of the April 1 meeting will be Dale Ramos. The homeowner’s solar installer will also speak and answer questions about solar equipment, installation, and costs. An Energy Team member will educate on solar basics, federal tax credits and financing.
