We received notice on Friday, June 7 that the compost bins and rain barrels were put on the wrong truck in Canada and will not arrive until Monday, June 10 or Tuesday, June 11.
The alternate pickup date for compost bins and rain barrels is now Tuesday, June 11 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Central Park Pavilion (5153 Marsh Road, Okemos). If that date does not work, please contact LeRoy Harvey at 517.853.4466 or harvey@meridian.mi.us to arrange a different pickup time.

The Spring 2024 Community Compost Bin and Rain Barrel Sale is going on now.
Meridian Township residents have the opportunity to shop our sale and access reduced prices on compost bins, rain barrels and more. We are taking orders for pick up, and our online shop will be open for orders until May 20. You can shop the Spring 2024 Community Compost Bin and Rain Barrel Sale here.
Orders must be picked up on Saturday, June 8 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at Marketplace on the Green (1995 Central Park Drive, Okemos).
Composting is a great way to reduce trash going to landfills while allowing you to make your own compost. Rain barrels reduce water costs, keep water clean and provide a natural source of water for plants and gardens, while also reducing the pollutants that enter storm drains.
