PARKING NOTE: Please park at the end of Nemoke Trail in Haslett. We will work in a higher quality area of Nancy Moore Park behind the baseball fields, removing invasive shrubs that crowd out beneficial native plants. Blue cohosh, baneberry and spring ephemerals are just a few of the native plants that grow in this area. All tools will be provided and no experience is necessary. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear protective footwear.
Weekday Warriors occur every other Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at a different location. Help the Meridian Conservation Corps restore habitat across our parks and preserves through activities like invasive plant removal and litter pick up in high quality areas. This group works on small projects that make a big difference. Warrior workdays are a great way to get outdoors and improve our community!
Participants are encouraged to pre-register but walk-ins are welcome. To register, or for more information, please contact Land Stewardship Coordinator Emma Campbell at ecampbell@meridian.mi.us or call at 517.853.4614. All workdays are outdoors and may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
