February 20, 2024 Township Board Regular Meeting Packet

NOTICE REGARDING NO BROADCAST OF MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING ON FEBRUARY 20

HOMTV will not be able to televise or live stream the Meridian Township Board meeting that is scheduled for 6:00 pm on Tuesday, February 20 due to equipment limitations affected by the meeting's alternate location (Central Fire Station). However, the February 20 meeting will still be recorded and will be posted for viewing on Wednesday, February 21 by the end of the day.

Due to the passage of Proposal 2 in 2022, Meridian Township is required to provide an accessible in-person site for early voting ahead of each official election date. Based on the space and arrangements needed for early voting to effectively occur, the Meridian Township Clerk's Office has reserved the Township Board's typical meeting space in the Municipal Building's Town Hall Room between February 17 and 25, affecting use of the space during this period.

For this reason, the Meridian Township Board chose to use the Central Fire Station (5000 Okemos Road, Okemos) Community Room on February 20. HOMTV will not be able to broadcast or live stream this meeting because the Central Fire Station Community Room does not have a direct cable connection to our broadcasting and streaming equipment.
