The 3rd Annual Meridian Freedom Fest continues with another free film screening! This week features the 2016 film, "Queen of Katwe". This biographical drama centers on Katwe, a young girl from Uganda who is granted the chance of a lifetime by learning how to play chess.
Join us outdoors once more at the Meridian Historical Village (5151 Marsh Road) on Friday, June 16 from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm. The movie will begin at 9:30 pm, but viewers are encouraged to arrive thirty minutes early.
Please make sure to bring your own chair or blanket, as the movie will be projected on a screen outside. This event is free to the public and marks the second event of the Meridian Freedom Fest.
