Meridian Freedom Fest: "The Wiz" Movie Screening

Help us kick off the 3rd Annual Meridian Freedom Fest by attending a free community screening of "The Wiz". This 1978 film is a reimagining of L. Frank Baum's classic 1900 children's novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. 

The event will take place outdoors at the Meridian Historical Village (5151 Marsh Road) on Friday, June 9 from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm. The movie will begin at 9:30 pm, but viewers are encouraged to arrive thirty minutes early. Bring your family and friends, and come dressed as your favorite character from The Wizard of Oz!

Please make sure to bring your own chair or blanket, as the movie will be projected on a screen outside. This event is free to the public and marks the start of the Meridian Freedom Fest.
