Seed Sorting Parties are a way to help spread the love for native plant species all around the township. Join us for an evening of sorting and processing the native seeds that have been collected around Meridian Township so far this year such as Wild Bergamot, Little Bluestem, Whorled Milkweed, and much more. These seeds will be used to help increase and spread the biodiversity of native plants within the township. We will have cocoa, popcorn, and movie/music for a relaxing night of chatting and processing our native seeds! No experience is necessary, we will teach you what you need to know! This is an indoor event that will be hosted rain or shine.
Participants are encouraged to pre-register but walk-ins are welcome. To register, or for more information, please contact Land Stewardship Coordinator Emma Campbell at ecampbell@meridian.mi.us or call at 517.853.4614. All workdays are outdoors and may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
