Stewardship Saturday

Planting Native Species

We will meet at Legg Park parking lot and walk into our planting site where we will install native plant species such as early goldenrod, robin's plantain and butterfly weed. Please make sure to dress appropriately for the weather and working off trail in an open meadow.

Stewardship Saturdays occur every other Saturday from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at a different location. Help the Meridian Conservation Corps restore habitat across our parks and preserves through activities like invasive plant removal and sowing native seeds. Stewardship workdays are a great way to get outdoors and improve our community! The location and activity for the workday scheduled on June 17th are to be determined, check back in as the event date approaches for more details.

Participants are encouraged to pre-register but walk-ins are welcome. To register, or for more information, please contact Land Stewardship Coordinator Emma Campbell at ecampbell@meridian.mi.us or call at 517.853.4614. All workdays are outdoors and may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
If you would like to join the Meridian Conservation Corps to receive email updates on future stewardship events and get free MCC swag, visit the Meridian Conservation Corps webpage to sign up.
