(EVENT CANCELLATION)
Our event scheduled for tomorrow, May 13th, from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm will be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Trailblazer Workdays are a special Meridian Conservation Corps workday focused on invasive removal and making land preserves more accessible by maintaining the trails. Join us for an afternoon of trail maintenance from 1:30-3:30 pm on May 13th at Foster-Crouse Land Preserve. We advise volunteers to park along Buttercup Lane as there is not parking at the exact preserve location. Stewardship activities will focus on invasive shrub removal along the foot trail that connects this preserve to North Meridian Road Park. Some invasive species that volunteers will encounter are buckthorn, honeysuckle, autumn olive, privet, and oriental bittersweet (invasive woody vine).
Participants are encouraged to pre-register but walk-ins are welcome. To register, or for more information, please contact Land Stewardship Coordinator Emma Campbell at ecampbell@meridian.mi.us or call at 517.853.4614. All workdays are outdoors and may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
