(LOCATION UPDATE)
We will be changing the meeting location of Weekday Warriors scheduled today, March 30th, to Red Cedar Glen Preserve located at the end of Sylvan Glen Drive in Okemos. We will meet there and walk into Legg Park to manage a native wildflower opening. We will cut back shade trees/shrubs as well as non-native plants to create more sunlight in this area. Join us if you can, the weather looks great!
Weekday Warriors occur every other Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at a different location. Help the Meridian Conservation Corps restore habitat across our parks and preserves through activities like invasive plant removal and litter pick up in high quality areas. Warrior workdays are a great way to get outdoors and improve our community! This Weekday Warriors is hosted at Nancy Moore Park and will focus on invasive species removal.
Participants are encouraged to pre-register but walk-ins are welcome. To register, or for more information, please contact Land Stewardship Coordinator Emma Campbell at ecampbell@meridian.mi.us or call at 517.853.4614. All workdays are outdoors and may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
