Trailside Ecology programs occur the third Tuesday of the month from 5:00 to 6:30 pm at a different location. Learn more about our local flora and fauna while getting to know our parks and preserves personally! This month we will be meeting on February 21 at Lake Lansing North Preserve to observe the thaw of winter. We will look for fungi, nests, berries, and signs of wildlife activity. Some wildlife will just be stirring from a quiet winter, while others will be full swing into courtship rituals!
Participants are encouraged to pre-register but walk-ins are welcome. To register, or for more information, please contact Land Stewardship Coordinator Emma Campbell at ecampbell@meridian.mi.us or call at 517.853.4614. All events are outdoors and may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
