Join us at the the Van Atta entrance at Ted Black Woods Park (4714 Van Atta Road in Okemos) where we will begin our hike and talk about invasive species and native plants that can be observed in the area. We will walk along the trail and explore a variety of plants, most of which will be seeding out and going dormant, but a few that will still be green, and even flowering!
Please feel free to bring binoculars or any guides you wish. Please check the weather before you leave your house and dress appropriately.
Participants are encouraged to pre-register for all programs, but walk-ins are welcome. To register, or for more information, please contact Land Stewardship Coordinator Emma Campbell at ecampbell@meridian.mi.us or call at 517.853.4614. All workdays and programs are outdoors and may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
