As part of the Meridian Wetland Education & Restoration Program, Wetland Walk tours will be offered the first Wednesday of every month featuring wetlands in the Township. These tours are meant to expand the community's knowledge of the ecosystem services wetlands provide, ordinances & regulations for wetland protection, as well as local restoration efforts. Participants are encouraged to pre-register for Wetland Walk tours, but drop-ins are welcome. To register, or for more information, please contact Land Stewardship Coordinator Emma Campbell at ecampbell@meridian.mi.us or call at 517.853.4614. All tours are outdoors and may be cancelled due to inclement weather. Please see below for specifics on the topic and location for the tour.
Meet at Tihart/Cornell Wetland Preserve to learn about taking species inventories of any plants, wildlife or insects that we see during the tour on June 1 at 5:00 pm. The tour is roughly an hour and a half long.
